Dr. Scott DeWitt’s review of the new Starkey Livio Edge AI Custom Rechargeable Hearing Aid – Part 1

Hello all!

Even though we are not able to see our typical patient load due to embracing social distancing, it doesn’t mean we can’t stay busy! I took this opportunity to start a video blog reviewing the new Starkey Livio Edge AI Custome Rechargeable Hearing Aid.

In the following video, I will un-box the devices and discuss some of the new features. Our next installment will talk about my observations and perceptions of how things are sounding!

Initial thoughts –

Fit is great! I would expect nothing less from Starkey’s custom shell lab.

Excited to try the new “Thrive Assistant” feather (think Amazon Alexa, but in your ears!)

VERY excited to try “Edge Mode”, which is an on-demand AI analysis of your environment, designed to help you hear in the most challenging of environments.

I love the dark black color! I think it is a neat idea to emulate the bluetooth earbuds that so many individuals use nowadays. Furthermore, I love the ability to stream audio directly to the devices from my iPhone.
